Brindisa is committed to food safety and quality and we recognise and respect the need to comply with current European legislation. We hold the Higher Level certification for the CMi Technical Standard for Food Wholesaling, Storage and Distribution, a certificate is available on request.
We have excellent relationships with our suppliers, ensuring the confidence in the product and the producer.
Our bilingual team ensures speed and accuracy of any customer question or concern.
An independent external auditor with many years experience in the retail sector regularly audits the producers we work with – always accompanied by a member of our bilingual team.
A responsible documented assessment is made of all products and producers before purchase (Supplier Questionnaire and Product Specification) and this information is reviewed and tested regularly.
Compliance with UK and EU legislation is ensured.
Full product traceability is guaranteed for all product lines and we have in place effective tried and tested recall procedures.
We maintain an ongoing programme of auditing good practice in production, wholesaling and distribution.
Temperature control monitoring evidence is available, so too is product analysis via an external accredited laboratory.
Valid certification for our organic range is available.

We chose CMi because we wanted to work with a certificating body that has experience in conducting evaluations in the field in which we work – food wholesaling and distribution. In addition to assessing our ability in complying with food safety requirements and demonstrating due diligence, it also encourages continuous improvement.
Brindisa has also recently been audited by a handful of key UK customers (restaurant groups and food service companies) against their own bespoke technical standards and has achieved the highest success.
